The Weather at Uralla NSW
At present there is no Bureau of Meteorology temperature station in Uralla. The
Post Office commenced rainfall recordings for the Bureau in 1901, and these
have been continued in recent years in Dumaresq Street. The post office also
carried out temperature readings for a number of years which were enough to
produce a set of temperature averages. See "Climate Averages" below.
Salisbury Plains
Weather Station
A privately owned weather station is in operation at Salisbury Plains about
eight kilometres south-east of the town, elevation 1005 metres. This station
provides real time temperatures, humidity, rainfall, pressure, wind speed and wind gusts. There is also a webcam with the
image updated every five minutes during daylight hours.
Weather conditions recorded here are very similar to those in Uralla town,
although during periods of shower or thunderstorm activity,
rainfall amounts may be considerably different due to the localised nature of
such rainfall.
